Modified the MVC Truss / Skid ( Pics )

Well i wanted some more protection for the diff and i also wanted to make sure that the truss wouldnt get hung up on anything, So me and the friends got out the plasma cutter, grinder, and welder.

made some 1/4" thick plates

Put the rear end of the ZJ on some stands so we could fit under it easier

And had my friend start welding away

We ran out of wire fairly quickly ( other friend was supposed to buy more but forgot... so we will need to finish tonight. )

BUT it gave me a chance to get a before and after picture

Nice work!

Seems like you'll get quite a bit of protection from such a simple mod.

Perhaps keep a small drain hole in the corner? Might also want to keep it cleaned out from mud

the front side is open ( under the diff ) as it cant be welded to the diff it has a very small gap between the diff and the pumpkin where stuff can drain out

as seen in this picture

anyways... here are some more pics... i still need to grind on the welds a little to make it pretty before i paint... the welds on the right side in the pics got a tiny bit ugly lol... he was trying out a different thickness of wire and didnt quite adjust till the left side.... holds up just the same.. just means i need to spend a little time with the grinder making it look good and smooth
