mirror compatibility

Are the heated power mirrors compatable with 93-98 or are they 93-95 96-98?

There were several types of mirrors depending on trim levels.

Some 94s had manual no heat. >94 had at least power. Some had power heated.

All >96 are breakaway power heated. Some were Electrochromic.

If I'm not mistaken the plugs are different,I know for sure they are a different color at least. The auto dimmer has its own circuit run seperately from the main plug.

I know for a fact there two styles of plugs. I bought a set of all black housing mirrors with heat for my 96 Limited and the plugs didn't match up so I could swap them. Now I have a set of mirrors for a ZJ and I am not sure what they will fit.

I discovered this when I went to put them on because I wanted the heat more then the color match plastic. After I got the door apart I noticed the plugs were different and put them in a box on a shelf in the garage. I have a cast on my leg right now so I can't get around really well let alone in my garage. When I get to walking again I will get the number and make a heck of a deal to some one that needs them.
