Lower Control arms

I'm looking for front and rear lower control arms for my 93 GC. Apparently the area where the bushings are have rusted/blown out. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for replacement arms? Right now it is still at stock ride height and will probably be that way for awhile. Thanks!

The frt and rr lowers are very easy to replace. Replace one at a time, do not remove both frts or rrs at the same time ... sometimes it can be real tough trying to install the new ones because of the axle shifting. Not sure if your 93 has the cam adjusters on the front like my 96 does, if so, be sure to mark the location before removing. If you're staying stock, not much benefit in going to an aftermarket CA's other then less flexing. I think the cost difference between factory and aftermarket is close to the same, maybe the aftermarkets are a bit less expensive for the fixed length.

I'm pretty sure TJs use the same control arms. Anyone?

If that's the case they should be real easy to come by. Everyone who lifts a TJ (tons) no longer needs then and they're not a common part to replace so there's no demand. When I lifted my TJ I put up all the stock parts for free on our local Jeep forum and oddly enough, only the coils were taken for someone's other project. The CAs went to the dump.

Anyway, look into seeing if they're the same and you'll greatly increase your chances of finding some. And as stated, stay stock if the Jeep is stock. There's no real benefit to aftermarket, and if they're non-swivelling, you'll actually get less flex.

Almost forgot, hang on to those cam bolts if they're still good and you don't have to cut them out. I needed new ones from the dealer and they were $28 each for the bolt and $7 each for the nut. :O

Yes TJ arms will fit all except rear lower.

You can probably find a fairly new set with bushings as well really cheap.
