Lousy suspension on 1998 JGC

My suspension sucks. Gonna get under there this morning and check it out. Please give me some ideas on what to check. It rattles, bangs, clunks and basically sounds like a tank going over bumps. Pictures are ALWAYS a plus!

Welcome to owning a jeep

Thats a pretty vague question. Any particular area thats making noise? Examples? You have stock suspension still correct?

Get two people, one underneath and the other rockin the jeep, and just look for excessive looseness or play in everything

Your problem is, regardless of the mileage, all the bushings are shot. I have the same problem with my '98 JGC. It's only got 70K, but it's still 15 years old. Age kills rubber. Daystar has full kits for about $200 to replace them all and it'll run like ... well, like a Jeep

New bolts on both ends of all control arms may smooth it out a bit. If they're worn bad, this could be most of your problem too.
