Loose front end

Some creaking noises when turning. Hit bumps and front end feels loose. Was thinking ball joints but straight axle jeeps don't have ball joints do they???

Any axle that has turning wheels has ball joints. There are the pivot points

Dana 35c behind a 242, behind an AW-4, behind a 4.0L Inline Six sitting over a Dana 30, all turning stock 215/75/15 tires and moving a 93 Grand Cherokee to places your truck only dreams of.

1998 Grand Cherokee: 4.0L I6, 42RE, np249 (ugh), stock (ugh)

umm... what?

anyway check your tie rods ends, check the sway bar and control arm bushings
