looking for a time frame figuire on replacement of the 42re transmission?

my tranny is slipping in 2nd to third not bad but noticible so when i'm ready to swap it out I can get a idea how much it might cost me labor wise, looking for a start to finish basicly taking the old one out and the replacement in and ready to go basicly.

I'd have to disagree. It only takes a few hours to remove and install a different trans. I don't know what the book rates the job at but I can't imagine it's more than 4 - 6 hours. Even at $100 / hour labor costs and transmission fluid it shouldn't be more than about $600.

Mine was $1070 and they spread it out over a weeks time because they were busy. Full rebuild.

When I pulled my trans to replace the front pump seals, it took probably 10 hours over 2 days
