it all depends on what rear end you have. if its a dana 35, there are plenty of options for lockers out there. If you have a Dana 44A then there are no lockers available right now. Aussie made one but stopped production on them. You may still be able to find one used somewhere but expect to spennd 450ish. also, depending on the tranfer case, you may already have a limited slip. there are a lot of answer out there. do some reading. i hope this gets you started.

Its pretty simple to figure out what you have. Do you have an I6 or a v8 engine? Do you have qudratrack, select-trac, or quadradrive. And if you have any lift any info on that should be in your sig or profile.

Hollly crap, you seem like you know as much about your vehicle as a 6 year old. Doesn't sound like you should be jumping into lockers when you don't even know your differential. Throw a couple crayons and some super glue in your diff and you're good to go.

Go out to your Jeep and look, if you have an oval shaped diff cover and it has a rubber fill plug, youve got the 35, like this

Dont have a picture of the 44A but obviously if you dont have the 35, its that.

My 44a has a rubber fill plug. If you have a v8 you have a 44a, if not you have a 35 its pretty simple...

You probably have a 35. Lots of choices when it comes to lockers on that.

That wasn't necessary at all.

wjjeeps.com is a good site to see what years had what.

look at your rear differential. if it is more of an oval shape, it is a dana35..

and if it looks more like this, then its a dana 44a

also if you want to know if you have limited slip look on the shift bezel in the cab by the shifter... if it says "Quadra-Drive", then you have a limited slip in the front and rear with a nv247 transfer case.

If it says "quadra-trac II" you still have a nv247 but no limited slip.

or "selec-trac" would imply that you have open diffs and a nv242 transfer case meaning you have 2wd, 4 full time, 4 part time, and 4 lo.

I just bought a WJ and recently did my research. wjjeeps has a lot of information. hope this helps

You have a dana 35. Now google dana 35 lockers and read for a while on what people have to say about them. Then, pick a locker, buy it, take it to a mechanic and have them install it. Voila, locked turdy 5

You have a dana 35 then. You can lock that if you want but i wouldnt feel safe wheeling a locked 35 with anything larger than stock tires.

well there you go. there are tons of options for lockers with the 35. Get an aussie and put it in yourself. if you have any mechanical skills at all, you can do it.
