Little Mod On The ZJ Today
Finally got around to playin with the Budget Buggy today.

3 Bucks worth of Jig Saw Blades and a few tears on both ends of the stick and heres what I got.

Hopefully Ill get the Cage in in the next few weekends.

Then all i need to do is finish piecing together the rear end of the lift, and Ill be ready to do some wheelin again.

And dont worry, Im cutting the pieces stickin up alot closer to the body in all 4 locations, Im just waitin to get the cage to make sure I dont cut off to much.

And The first cut was supprisingly easy. Who knows whats next.

And A pic with my 4x4 Clubs Sticker and custom License Plate Bracket.

Yup Yup Yup.

Shes not perfect, but She does alright. The Cage im getting will more then make up for the loss of the back of the body. Will tie in at 8 or 10 places. Then eventually start going foreward with it till i have a full a cage. Im Coming up with a Frame Stiffener / Reinforcement. The tail end of my frame rails are already rotted out, so im gonna have to figure something out with that.

Its deff just my Trail Truck. Nothing has to be perfect. My goal is to Go big, And Build it with some meat on her bones. . . Like a southern volleyball player.

My goal right now....35s, 7~8" Lift. Major trimming, Better axles, New T case, Full cage. . .Just tryin to do it right the first time.

why a jigsaw? sawzall is much faster

Darthteddy 09-08-2008 06:31 PM

Because I dont own a Sawzall. :D

I paid 3 bucks for 5 metal blades for the Jigsaw so it was cheap too.

And it only took like 10 minutes tops.

after that cutting the top off, trimming the fenders will seem like a walk in the park. it looks great.

Darthteddy 09-08-2008 07:27 PM

Yea it was a whole lot easier to cut her up then i thought it would be. Fenders and stuff comming soon hopefully. Gotta get this Chop finished, and get a lift on her first.

i love the plate mounting location and bracket.

You could even customize it like the yuppies do... lol just get a sharpie.

I seriously wish i had the garage space for a trail only rig... i'd love to go to town on an XJ or ZJ

Darthteddy 09-08-2008 07:41 PM

I dont really have garage space for it. .. I have a driveway and a tarp. :D

The time now is 11:33 PM.
