i read awhile back someone posting about limp mode, i can't remember who, but what are possible causes for a car to get stuck in this mode? this hasn't happened on my jeep, but i figured since someone here is bound to know and since it's for my other daily driver which would help me spend less $ in gas and more on jeep, it'd be ok? any ideas on how to fix this? it's stuck in 3rd gear.

There should be a code stored in the computer. Do the key on/off sequence and let us know what you get.
