lights problem

Whats up guys, havent posted much in awhile... but the Jeep is acting up again

Ok so.. I think it was 2 days ago or something, I go out of my jeep, turned out my lights and noticed that my drving lights didnt turn off... front or back, and neither did my cluster gauge lights... couldnt figure how to turn em off, so I was like whatever and went inside... came out the next day, and just as i expected the battery was dead, got my friend to try and jump it but all it did was click rapidly, no cranking or anything when i tried to start it, so 2 questions...

When he tries to jump start me again, should we let it charge my battery for a little bit like 10-15 mins then try to crank it

And anyone know why my parking lights wont go out?

thanks in advance

Yes you need to charge your battery for a while before trying this will also help keep your alternator from frying. When totally dead you alt will work long and hard to recharge thus causing it to heat up wich is the biggest enemy of electrical components...heat. You may just have a bad switch, that is where I would start, seems the most probible to me.

I let it charge for about 15 mins on my friends battery, and still nothing but that same old rapid click when I try to start it... could a starter be the culprit?

Usually rapid click means not getting enough power bad connection, make sure you have the jumper cables on there good, clean the contact points and what not then try again. You may just wanna pick up a new battery to try as well.

I'm not sure about the parking lights...

Parking lights is most likely the switch, try cleaning it with electric contact cleaner and it sounds like bad battery cables/conections/corrosion, etc.
