Lift kit?

I planned on buying a complete RC 3.5" kit, but would I be able to get away with new shocks and springs? A) would I be able to get the same amount of lift with just the shock/spring combo, and B) would I need brake line extenders for 3.5"?
Anything else I'm missing, let me know. I'll probably just end up getting the kit (just to be safe) unless someone says otherwise.
Input of all types is appreciated

Evan

You need....
Springs
Shocks
Endlinks
Front trackbar
Atleast a rear bracket

Brake lines are fine for me.
