my average is 14, according to the little screen on the roof. i'm not sure it's accurate, but i know that my V8 isn't exactly efficient, but damn its powerful. and fast

Dont trust the thing on the roof lol. Calculate when you fill up

and actually some studies showed that the 6 cylinder gets no better gas mileage than the v8.

Wish I had the v8 lol.

The roof display might be accurate.
Do a couple of calc's with paper and pen and compare to the display. Mine is right on.

I get crappy gas mileage while driving only on the street like stop light to stop light... It takes a lot to get the bigger tires moving but once i'm on the highway, theres not much difference

Lift DOES affect mileage. Its called aerodynamics which get destroyed upon lifting. It gets even worse when you trim the front bumper and install parachutes (ummm, I mean roof lights).

The EPA figures for 1998 GC's are 14 city/19 highway for the I-6 and 12 city/17 highway for the V-8. If you are coming up with larger numbers then its time to check your math.

I was thinking about throwing a safari rack on top when i get the money, but that's a long way off ha. I'm just not going to worry about the gas mileage anymore.

Not necessarily...on several cars I've gotten several points higher than epa sticker rated..up to 7-8 on an old saturn I had...
