Leakin' Radiator, 02 WJ Is it a PITA?

4.7L What do I gotta do to get this thing out? Anyone done this before?


This is my JEEP. There are many like it but this one is mine...

1996 ZJ 318 Laredo Quadra Trac -SOLD (I'm gonna miss her!)

2002 WJ 4.7 Limited Quadra Drive (sharing it with wifey for now...)

Do you already have a new replacement?

If not you can swing by your local auto parts shop and pick up a bottle of Barsleak...

Seems to work pretty good.....known several vehicles that have lasted for years with this product used to fix a leaky rad...

PITA? Yep. Way more work involved in swapping our 99 WJ's radiator than is involved in swapping my dakota's radiator.

It is a tight squeeze to get the radiator out, but just keep working at it and it can be done. I found that removing the Trans cooler fittings on the radiator helped a good bit with clearance issues.
