Kolak has confused me now!!!

i emailed kolak about the cat-back exhaust system he sells for my 2001 WJ I-6.

he says i only need the flowmaster and hi-flow cat...and that i dont need the mandrel bent pipes because the OEM ones are already 2.5".
arent the oem pipes restrictive due too that they constrict at points??

Are you adding any type of a higher flow intake? If not, the stock exhaust will work just fine.

even if youa re, its not going to make a noticable diff with just an intake nad exhaust...hell even with a header it wont

The common belief is why replace it if works fine. I went with the FM70 and carsound cat and like it. You can get the mike leach tail pipe but why, your existing tailpipe is just fine.

The tubing foreward of the main converter is 2.5", the tailpipe is 2.25". If I was getting exhaust, i'd try to have it 2.5 (mandrel) all the way through b/c I'm a perfectionist, and I don't like bottlenecks.
