el_jefe 22, the dude selling that, has been talked about in these forums before. He is totally legit, and it is an amazing price. If you ask, he can add tire carriers, shovel holders, net, and light holders (for more money, of course) but altogether they seem good. I am planning on buying one from him when I save enough money.

Yeah they are a good rack. I got mine a little while ago. Here are a few pics.

Mine has all the mounts and I went with the upsidedown V for the front lights, although there are no front lights. Good rack though I like it. If anyone wants more detailed pics I have some, just give a shout.

If you have more I am interested in them... I am almost for sure getting this rack and would love to see what quality is put into these.

What are your thoughts on that rack?

I think that it's a pretty solid rack. Like I've said I've enjoyed mine, I just can't get my factory rails to stop making so much noise. The quality seems good, I'm not worried about it shaking apart or rustin out or anything. And all the mounts work perfectly. If you're going to get a rack I think this one is definitely worth taking a serious look at.

This is the hi-lift mount. When I took this picture I didn't have mine yet.

Theone13:

Thanks for your opinion on this rack...i think it will give everybody an idea on how this rack is built....

Is your factory rails making noise because of the rack or is it just from them being old/worn? Also is this rack fairly heavy or would you say it is just about right for what should be on top of our GC's?

Sorry for all the questions, just want some good info for everybody to get some opinions about this rack....

Thanks!
Brandon

So far it seems that this is a respectable peice of hardware. The price is unbeatable. I may consider this rack. That spare tire mount looks odd though...

Looks nice but the only thing I don't like about it is:

Too many bolts holding the floor rails - if it were me I would opt for a completely welded one. That way they never rattle loose and it would be solid. But that might come at a higher price. I just hate hearing things rattle when I am off-road.

Yeah the noise I'm hearing is from my roof rails not the basket. They are old and not as strong as the used to be. I think this rack is perfect for the tops of our jeeps. It's not heavy at all, one person could lift it easily by themselves, and all the mounts are perfect. Hope this helps a little more Brandon, and anyone else looking into this rack.

the base of the basket is like that probably for cost and eas of shipping. then you must put it together once it arrives. lock tite and lock nuts would resolve them coming loose . or have it welded up once it arrives

What do you guys think about this rack on my WJ? I really want to get the spare tire out of the floor so I can put other stuff in there. More lights could be fun too. It can never be bright enough at night!
