The "spare" that came with my niner was a 225/55r15. The rim wasn't even the right bolt pattern...

I dunno about the treadwrights, I can see running them on the trail jeep, but I want to take this thing as TSF as I can make it and still show my face around here.

I don't think anyone's gonna hate on you it you have a sweet street jeep and a trail jeep. I will before the year is over and still planning on showing both. Even twitch some of the ideas I have planned for it.

Just biased against retreads, worried they won't hold up to my lead hoof

I don't know why retreads have such a bad rap. In Europe, 45% of of all car and SUV tires are retreads. Almost all tractor trailer tires are retreads. Treadwright is starting to make quite a name for themselves.

I have good year re treads that I have put about 1500 miles on them. They were used when I got them but still had great tread on them and they were slightly dry rotted. But I havnt had issues with them.

I have had my treadwrights for over a year and they are better than most name brands I have bought. Go do some reading on them and then save a bunch of money.

Shipped from tire rack the BFG's are only $15 more than the treadwrights from their online store. Am I missing something?

How much does it cost to get the tires mounted and balanced once they show up on my doorstep?

Walmart will mount, balance, and replace valve stems for $10/tire with a free rotation and balance every 7,500 miles. Just in case, you know, you weren't up to rotating your own tires.
