Just put some 05 Limited wheels onto my 2001 Limited

2001 Limited wheels were all hacked up... curb rash and corision... bought a set of 05's off someone on ebay for cheap...

here's the pic. Same exact size rim, used my original tires, etc:

Looks pretty good. I'm trying to find a set of wheels I like, but its so hard. The ones I do like are only available in Japan... Anybody have a pic of the other '05 17" wheels on a WJ?

There are only 3 wheels for 2005... NOTE: They are also now all 17" (no more 16s)... Sadly, no 18" option...

I photoshopped the other new ones onto this pic so you can see what they look like:

WOW! That looks fantastic! Anyone know if I could have the side of those spokes painted gold like my 1999 Limited Wheels. I think all silver wheels on a jeep with the gold emblems and wheels would look funny.

I guess the 18s are a common street tire size. However, the WK won't have many offroad tire options in that size.

Agreed... But my baby's never going off road... ski trips maybe... The X5 base model has 17", the top-of the line has 18" 19" 20" options... hah, off roading with a performace tire!

Whestleys white wall cleaner and a brillo pad and 5 minutes will take care of any white letter problem

18 inch tires get ridiculous on price. A lot of 17's too, but not too bad as of late, now that they are becoming more and more popular. They look good, but for those that actually use the Jeep off road they can be a pain too. I like my 16's. It's a good balance. 16" tires are relatively inexpensive, and there are a ton of options in both street and off road treads.

Here's a quick chop of what I'm thinking of doing. Painting the Orbiteks gunmetal with a polished "lip". Too bad these don't have a big lip, I love big lips... anyway, I think they look decent with my color.
