Just Changed the transfercase fluid! wow. .

Well I finally got around to changing the Transfer case fluid in my Jeep and . I put the front tires on ramps and pulled the fill plug then the drain plug. It drained less than a quart and it was Black! It currently has 107k on it. I'm guessing the PO didn't touch it.

I pushed it off the ramps so it was level and proceed to fill it. I was only able to get about 1.5 quarts in before it came spewing out of the fill hole. I keep reading that it takes 2 quarts but i cant get it to take the rest.

I have the NV242HD and used ATF+4

Another strange thing is that before i changed the fluid I had what seemed like valve train noise but after it was changed it went away. Very strange. . .
