Just bought my first one

My 79 Toyota pickup is getting a bit long in tooth so I just bought a used 1998 Grand Cherokee.
Two wheel drive and seems to meet all my requirements.(not the least of which ,it fits in my undersize garage.).I think of it as a poor mans Lincoln Navigator. I am glad to have found this forum, If anyone can clue me in on what I should know about this car, let me know. It seems really nice, The big six is as smooth and powerful as any car I have driven and the car looks great. Has 48000 miles on it, wondering what the first thing to break will be. I'm keeping the old Totota for a while, it's been too good a vehicle to send to the crusher. 168000 miles and it still passes Calif. smog test with no new parts. Still running strong but I hesitate to take a 22 year old vehicle on any meaningful (long) trips. That's what the new Jeep will be for.
Thanks for putting up with my rambling but jeez, It's been 22 years since I bought my last car and I'm kinda jazzed about it.

Even though it is not a Toyota anymore, it does not mean something has to break soon. We have a '95 I think Grand Cherokee in the Family and other than a problem with the a/c, nothing went wrong so far.

My own 01 WJ still needs to prove that she is a reliable girl; until now, she did great

If you treat your ZJ with common sense, I'm sure you will have many happy miles with it.
