Lol well I haven't quite given up on the zj yet. While browsing at the local junk yard I found these in quite good shape I might add, he wants 150$ and I know there not made anymore are they worth grabbing?
I'll add I'm possibly going to lift my zj and put bigger tires on will these just get in the way?
In all seriousness though, if the running boards are a thing you like, grab em. They're an impediment offroad, but if you want the look for street those look like they're in pretty good shape.
.. Well I'll answer .. What does yours need.. If yours needs an item & it's on one of the ones in the yard then that's the part You need. But we need more pictures. But the only items you need is what's toast one yours.
Yeah, I like the look of the ZJ/WJ w/o running boards.
My wife is short and liked the running boards on my WJ as a step. But my aftermarket ones were kind of heavy while believe they cut down on the aerodynamics where you may get a little less mpg.
The main problem I saw with them is living in the salt/rust belt. They trap the real salty slush right against the bottom of the rocker panels and cause them to rust a whole lot more than w/o running boards.
Also I'd have ice sometimes form on top of the running boards. An ice covered step if more dangerous than no running board at all.
