It would require fab work. Cutting off and welding on new control arm mounts, new shock mounts, and stuff of that sort. Check out TX-WJ's build thread, he's doing this exact thing to his WJ.

i have one under the rear of my wj. Jeep prices suck, they doubled the price of a rear d44 since last year. If you have the money to blow check out IRO d44 kits.

It'll be like 9k for front and rear plug and play d44s

04 WJ with some stuff - see here

10achik I think was one if not the first to have it done by IRO.

Illuminated Switches:

Shot to show ground clearance:

Still running SA's in the rear, but check out the beefiness of that axle:

Awesome skidplate, worth every penny:

Look at this tie rod:

Jeep charges quite a bit for the axles. They are brand new from Jeep. Jeep has raised the cost of the axles almost twice as much since they first started offering them so the price from IRO has almost doubled.

But think about what you are paying for. IRO has to cut all the brackets off, weld on new brackets, set the steering up, I think they change the yoke to fit WJs, electronic lockers and 4.10 gears. Yes, it will cost a lot but that is what you pay for a bolt on axle.

Don't forget the truss work too, these axles are pure beef.
