Thanks for stopping by and explaining everything, all I knew is that if you guys sold them they had been throughly researched and would work great I didn't even want to begin to get into all the specifics, because I would surely mess up something.

Just some fender trimming and you will be golden, that's my plan anyway.

hmmmmm, i bet while they are swapping the rest of the parts they would have no problem throwing 6.5 inch springs in place of my 5.5's. i bet that would free up a bit more space

I agree, I think any taller than 5.5" is going to bring more issues I don't want to deal with. Not to mention that anywhere I've wanted to go, I wasn't limited by the lift height at 5.5"

Should be fine with trimmage and 35's...but for 37's think you need to move to 6.5" coils to accomodate for the necessary bump stops. Only so much you can trim.

H3 ran 37's on 6" coils before he sold his rig.

They were RK 6.5" coils that measure closer to 7" - and thats still 1" extra of bump stop.

Here is what the FAQ from the JK forum says about gears and tire size. Granted they weigh less.

33" tires
3/4" spacer lift front minimum (2" BB preferred)
no gear replacement needed, 4.10's preferred.

34-35" tires
minimum 2.5" BB/3" lift,
will rub at full flex with 2.5BB
trim/remove front air dam
new gears may be needed on automatic transmissions, overdrive not able to be used (possible upgrade to 4.88's or 5.13's but not necessary)
4.10's ok for manual, but 6th gear obsolete.
trim pinch weld at rear tire

36-37" tires
minimum 3.5-4" lift
some trimming may be required on front bumper/fenderwells
new gears 4.88 or 5.13's (4.10s will be insufficeient for both manual and auto)
trim pinch weld at rear tire

You could definately run 35's on 4.10's with the V8, assuming you're not getting a super heavy set (ie Toyo MT's that are 35x13.5 and near 85lbs each) Even so I think you'd be ok. I'm running 285/75R16's and with the V8 + 3.73's power is adequate.

4.10's would not be ideal but IMO you can run a 315/75 tire without a prob. After rethinking things, if you have a V8 this axle would be pretty perfect if you don't plan on going bigger than 35's, which for streetability, you probably don't want to.

For the I6, it would be interesting with 35's and 4.10's.
