If I'm not mistaken, those look like part of the mounting system for front tow-hooks.

Looks good so far man- keep up the work. You have my attention cause i just finished a project that was a lot like this that you are about to begin. I did a day for day thread like you are doing for yours. check out mine, let me know if you have any questions. The best piece of advice i got was to put a plate on the outside of the frame where you bolt to your holes that you torched out. That way he makes like a 'sandwich' type hold on to the frame and will give it more support. here is the link to my thread- keep up the good work bro.

Thanks I actually am using a couple ideas that you used but I'm stuck at how far my bumper should come out? Well the braces anyways and I'd like to fit a 10,000 lb winch and have a bit room left to play with

Yea- use cardboard and ducktape to get a template and just keep cutting. But that is the main reason i just put a hitch up there for my winch, that, and so i can have it universal (rear and front). I have a 10,000 Warn winch and it felt to heavy to leave up there full time, for gas reasons.

Day Six

I had a scrap sheet of 1/4 inch steel so i decided to use it, im going to use 1/4 where the winch will mount and another pieace where the fairlead will mount also two on the inside sides of my winch pocket other than those spots im using 10 ga steel. I also tack welded the nuts to my mounts and cut them down so that my bumper will sit 9" off the front of my jeep

I need a hand ...

I'm having trouble lining up my holes for my mounts so I made new ones that will bolt directly to the face of my bumper and I will sandwich it with anothe plate on the back side is the bumper face metal strong enough to withstand a 10000 lb winch? Even if sandwiched?

Like the factory front metal crossmember? No. You could get away with mounting a non-winch bumper there however.
