its not my car so how would I prove it's my sister in-laws if i hot wire it then take it to a shop to have someone fix it ? Just wouldnt turn out well for anyone especially since they are 10 hours away on vacation

You could call a Locksmith and have them repair/replace the switch.

I called a locksmith nearby and made an appointment to have the guy come out about 4:00 my time. We'll see what he has to say but I'm going to buy a new ignition cylinder after work. Kinda sucks I'm having to spend money on a vehicle that isn't mine but maybe she'll let me buy it off of her.

I ended up cancelling having the locksmith come out today. After work i went and bought a new ignition switch and lock cylinder since the key would not turn forward to release from the switch. Anyways, I replaced those parts and she started right up. I also was able to get both passenger windows up along with the rear driver side window but had no luck with my driver's window. Found some cracks in the insulation on the wiring at the door hinge so I'll tackle that at another date or evening with it being so freaking hot outside. Thanks for everyone's help.
