No no replace what you want but the CRANKshaft position sensor in the more common failure then the CAMshaft position sensor.

Nothing "needs" to come from the dealer. That in its self is a generalization so ... but once you leave the dealership (if you even bought from one) there is rarely a reason to go back, except for warranty work.

The suggested flow of diagnosis and repair have been Crankshaft sensor then camshaft sensor fallowed by a possible PCM which is rare and expensive but nonetheless...

No, no, read what you want, he already replaced the crank sensor, twice. Thats why i said check the Cam sensor.

No it doesnt need to come from the dealer, but with the amount of thread on how the aftermarket sensors dont work in jeeps, he/she may want to get the mopar part.

My bad missed the clearly diplayed highly informative "list".

This is a resurrected thread. The OP dropped off in March and thread was brought back today. Maybe the OP will give an update on what he found.

How do you reset the alarm on the 1995 jeep grand Cherokee V8. I know the alarm is going off because the lights are flashing when I connect the battery but there is no sound to the alarm. Emergency flashers are off and headlights and turn signals are off.
