You can choice to buy our kit or not. No one is forcing your hand. This is the price to which we are willing to manufacturer it at. We are just offering an option that previously didn't exist for the ZJ market, that's not 'Corning the market'.

Here's one, built and on! Thank you JCR! Keep me in mind if/when you come out with a rear kit... I'd like one with a receiver and an option for a spare tire carrier (hint hint!)

It's just like anything else in this world, you'll pay for convenience!

I like the design, i think its one of the slicker ones out there.

If it's worth your time to make one, more power to ya.

But I may end up becoming lazy enough to look at buying one of these, and since I have the welding capability and I'm not afraid of rattle can paint i'll still come out on top

Looks great on there! At the moment we have nothing in the works for a rear. Maybe if these start to sell (you have I believe the only one, thank you for that!) then maybe we will look into doing a rear.

Well, I figured I probably had the first, didn't figure it would be the only one sold yet. Hopefully that changes, otherwise I'll have to buy a sheet of metal and make my own rear! Hope all goes well for a fellow "Miva Merchant"! (My employer uses Miva for all of our multiple websites)

I don't have mine here to measure but I'd say roughly 9 or so inches.

When I bought mine they had their "Tax Special" so I got my bumper, with a pair 3/4 rings shipped to me for $460.

Freight on a ZJ bumper is $200. This thing still weighs as much as a completed bumper, it just can ship VIA UPS ground, thus saving $130 in freight costs!
