your rear suspsension tucks up and back, so you should be good.

only other option is all rear full adjustable CA's to push the axle back a bit.

More than enough room! I have had the rear tires with barely a finger widths space between them and the rear rockers and it doesn't rub. The suspension flexes backwards and up away from the door so as long as the tires are not touching it's fine.

Look how close it is here and there was no problem.

x2 you probably didn't need that much but extra clearance doesn't hurt.

01SEP2012 - Spidertrax Wheel Spacers Installation

getting my driveshaft and wheel spacers ready

the bolts were rusty and muddy so decided clean all the threads.

thread locker. i put some more on it after i took the pictures

unfortunately, even with 1.25" spacers, there is a slight rub on the front passenger tire against the lower control arm at full lock. this is probably due to the fact that my axle is not centered (it is off by 1/4" or so).

01SEP2012 - Rear Driveshaft/Differential Work

when i swapped my transfer case from 249 to 242, i didn't realize that the driveshaft length was different due to the fact that my 249 had internal slip yoke and 242 had external slip yoke. installing that driveshaft was a real pain since, well, it is 1.5" longer than what it is supposed to be.

so, that driveshaft should've never gone in there and it's not coming out. after 15 minutes of frustration, i decided to just chop it off. it was the right decision.

fits perfectly now

finally decided to drain and refill the rear differential. i knew it had fluids and never had trouble from the rear so it was something i kinda put off until now. but since i have experience in destroying a differential by running it dry, i decided to drain/refill before any kind of trouble shows up.

when i drained it, i couldn't believe how great condition it is in. everything looks brand new in there.

done. simple half hour work.

01SEP2012 - Random Musings

it's been over 2 weeks since i installed my lift kit and i have over 100 miles on them now. so decided that it would be a good time to re-torque.

so while retorque-ing my sway bar link....yea, the grade 3 bolt snapped. i cannot believe 2 weeks old bolt snapped. i am completely mind blown. it makes me question every single part that came with my lift kit. there is a part of me that wants to strip the lift kit, and demand a refund.

if a swaybar link bolt breaks while torque-ing, then what's next? is the track bar bolt next?

and i just cannot get the rear swaybar links to sit right.

i am totally paranoid (actually, it's probably not paranoia. it's actually a legitimate concern) about my track bar

oh, and does anyone know what this is? it is left unplugged on the front driverside behind the bumper.

so the latest pics of the jeep:
