IROR spring sag
I've got Iron Rocks 3" springs and had them in the jeep for approximately 7 months. I measured from the bottom of the rim to the bottom of the fender after the lift went in and just remeasured them for a friend. This is what I found.
After lift FR: 770mm FL: 770mm RR: 790mm RL: 780mm and now FR: 750mm FL: 770mm RR: 770mm RL: 780mm As I drive on the right hand side is it possible my body weight (85-90kg) has contributed to spring sag on the right hand side? Is there another explanation? Does anyone have any experience with spring sag, IROR in particular, or suggestions on what to look for if there is another reason?

First off, no one here knows what a milimeter or kilogram is.
Second, most likely you had more than 3" of lift when you first put the springs in. They have probably just settled to 3". When I put my 3.5" springs in I measured at about 4.5-4.75" over stock, a year later I still have about 4". That's the only explanation I've got ![]()

Do what I do when you guys talk inches and pounds http://www.sciencemadesimple.com/conversions.html The springs were a true 3". Based on measurements taken pre and post lift and also from general consensus of Grand cherokee owners in Australia!

mabe you dont know, i do know.
mabe it dose have something to do with your body weight on that one side, i would not be supprised, but to make it sag by that much, that is what supprieses me. mabe you should rotate your springs like you do tires so they even out.

Plenty of people know what a mm is
![]() Springs will settle after time, now as for a 10mm difference from side to side, are you even able to see that difference or is that just a measured difference? OME puts stiffer springs on the drivers side so maybe there is some merrit to that. Have you contacted IRO and asked them?

Go to www.google.com and type <Measurement> to inches, or <weight> to lbs, or anything like that rather than say no one knows metric.

Ok to stop everyones complaining, here it is converted to inches. You're welcome.
![]() After lift FR: 770mm = 30.3" FL: 770mm = 30.3" RR: 790mm = 31.1" RL: 780mm = 30.7" and now FR: 750mm = 29.5" FL: 770mm = 30.3" RR: 770mm = 30.3" RL: 780mm = 30.7" |

So it appears you've lost almost 1" on the right side, while the left has remained the same.

He said he measured from the bottom of the rim so they're not comparable to the normal numbers you see.

I know that springs will settle after time but 20mm on only one side seemed a bit strange. I thought I could see a difference standing behind the jeep but dismissed that idea. A mate asked for my IRO spring measurements from bottom of rim to bottom of fender. It was only after I got those measurements I remembered I had taken the measurements after the springs went in. Compared the two and found the drivers side (right hand side here in Aus) had sagged and the left side had not.
