ask them. i bet they'd do a layaway for you.

tube thickness will help with bending much more than a tube diameter increase, tube diameter is more to deal with torsional forces.

No!!! Bending stiffness of a hollow circular tube increases with the radius to the 3rd power. By way of contrast, the bending stiffness increases approximately linearly with the thickness. Stated another way, double the thickness, double the stiffness; double the diameter and enjoy 8 times more stiffness.

there is a minimum thickness for every outside diameter though.
