Hi Everyone, I have the stupid question of the day. I recently bought a 1994 Grand Cherokee Laredo. For some reason I cannnot seem to set the slider on the dash so that when you open the front door, the interior lights come on. I did get it set for the rear doors. So the rear doors work fine not the front. I did not get a manual with the jeep so I could not check it. Thanks for your time.
The slider on the dash has nothing to do with the lights coming on when the doors are opened. Unlike with foreign cars, most american cars do not have a switch to prevent the lights from coming on when the doors are opened. If the lights are not turning on when you open the front doors, then there is something wrong; probably a bad door swith or relay.
