interior lighting??

I have a 98 jeep grand cherokee 5.9 with all of the goodies
we love to go to the movie drivein we set the key to acc. and open the rear door and after a while the interior lights go out, and if i open anyone of the doors the lights come on and the they go out once the doors are close. thats the way it always worked. now when i set the key to acc and open the rear door the lights stays on and will not go out... any ideas of whats going on???
