Installed roof lights and made a switch panel for my lights

Got rid of the crappy lights that I bought with my roof bar (no offence to the place I got them from... but they rusted, fogged over, and nearly fell apart after 5 months) and bought some Hellas. Also found a set of KC's for the front grille.

Bought the panel off ebay for $20. Came with the lighted switches and the 30a fuses. Think it was for an RV or something. Ok, I only made SOME of the switch panel

Gutted the useless panel that was where this one is (the one that says 4lo and 4hi) and installed this in the remains.

Also gutted a small power inverter (the kind that plugs into the cigarette lighter) and found an outlet to mount to it.

Ran 8 gauge wire to the panel from the battery (with a 40a fuse near the battery) and wired the roof lights to one switch and the grill lights to another. Both are wired through relays as I was melting the 30a fuse for the roof lights without it!

The switch cluster looks great. Im not feeling the round lights on top, I think it would look alot better with rectangle lights on top but thats just my opinion.

X2 I would probably look for another place to put it in. I am halfway tempted to dabble into fiberglass construction and fab something up.

It's strictly a remote control unit I got at Pep Boys and hooked up my 4 roof lights to it. Button #1 is the two outside lights and button #2 is the two inside lights. Button #3 may be my KC lights on the bumper hoop but right now it's a mmentary contact for some kind of aux flasher or horn or something more sinister ...haven't decided yet. What's really cool is I can operate the lights from 30+ feet away.

The control box
