Info System/Power Windows Problem

Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum. Thanks in advance for any help!!

I have a 1998 Grand Cherokee TSI with over 300K and it still runs pretty good! Lately the information system chime has been going on and off intermittently and when it does, the power windows stop working. Then a few minutes later it chimes again and the windows work again. A few minutes later (very random) the whole thing starts over again. Has anyone see this issue before and how do I fix it?

THANKS!!!!!

sounds like a flaky body control module, a bad drivers door module, or a broken wire in the drivers door boot.

the boot is easiest to check. take the drivers kick panel off and find the bundle that passes through the boot. then close the door and reach in there and shake the bundle around.
