infinity gold headache......

I have a 95 grand cherokee limited. For some reason, the front right speaker and tweeter arent getting any power. I switched the speakers with the ones on the left side and they worked fine so i know its not the speakers. I also threw in a new head unit and they still dont work. Also checked the connections to the amp, everything seems to be in place. Anyone have any suggestions??????

Sure....

1. Get a meter that can test for continuity.
2. Disconnect the problematic speaker's wires at the radio.
3. "Bridge" the + & - connection to the the speaker or wire them together temporarily.
3. Use the continuity test of the meter to show you what he problem is. (sounds like a disconnect somewhere).
4. If you get continuity, test the OHM readings too but compare it with the speaker wires on the other side (that are working). If it's a voltage leak or frayed wire, I would think there would be a large difference in resistance.

5. Begin to figure out how you'll run new wire from the spaekers to the head unit.
