Put an egg under the gas pedal and don't break it.

I slowed down from setting the cruise to 70 on my 30 mile straight road , no stop commute, to setting it to 65 and increased mileage 1.3 MPG. Also try to keep RPMs below 2000 on starts.

Yes, it hurts to see those service trucks and inattentive females whiz by, but what the hey.

I always keep between 1750 and 2000 during acceleration, used to before I did a good cleaning of the fuel system with some techron I would have bad months where my 4.0 would get it stays up around 13 or so...but no more in the city. I do notice the stock airbox mod, injector swap, new plugs & wires all contribute to better pickup and smoother idle, have yet to see if it affects mileage. But I do get nearly 23mpg cruising on the highway
