Idler Arm Troubles
I'm swimming in uncharted waters over here so bear with me. I did search and didn't find what I was looking for.
Well any who my co worker has a 98 grand Cherokee and his idler arm has to be replaced about every year. He is getting frustrated about it as well since its expensive for him to replace. The jeep is his DD so it sees nothing but road. Its all stock as well. The roughest stuff this sees is the drive way. It has the large bump to get into it as well as a steep incline after the side walk. He says he can hear the wheel chirp and sputter when he pulls into the drive way. I don't know how else to describe what he is talking about other than that. Is there a beefed up version of the idler arm or is he talking about something else? Any help would be great Thanks!!! ![]()

The grand does not have an idler arm. Are you talking about the drag link?
