i need help picking a lift for 96 grand cherokee

i just bought a 1996 grand cherokee and i want to put a lift on it but can't decide between a 3" or 4" and i dont want it to ride crappy because we lifted my sisters truck and it rides like crap. please help!!

Or if you want a good ride, go 4.5" with long arms. I don't know much about LAs, but I'm sure someone will chime in.

thank you. i talked to someone at h and b and they said that skyjackers were pretty nice but he said anything going to ride pretty crappy. my dad just wanted me to check and see if anythign rode good at all.

IRO 4.5 Long Arms works great and rides awesome but I have the 6.5 now and its even better

I believe he has a ZJ..IRO doesnt make a long arm kit for our ZJ's yet..

Prepackaged lifts generally have various compromises for marketing/pricing reasons.

Go with a "hybrid" approach where you pick and choose the best available components from several manufacturers. This method will get you the best lift for your money, and the results will yield the best on and offroad performance.

The rough country 4" kit seems to be a great ride, i have a buddy with one on his zj and he loves it.

i agree, but he said "3in to 4"... a 4.5 would be outside of that range, so i recomended the 3.5.
