I need help with my 98' jeep!!!

I just installed an amp and I can't find a hole in the firewall to put the power cord through.. Do I need to drill one? If so, where?

On the driver side of the engine there should be a little plate that is about 1"x4". You can unbolt it and there is a hole behind it.
