I would start by looking up what the codes mean. The controls themselves could be faulty as well. That is a known electrical issue. Have you tried resetting it by unhooking the battery? Sometimes it will work correctly again even if for a short period of time. If it's bad you can pick up another controller at the JY.
That;s what was wrong with mine. I was driving one day with the ac blasting and it suddenly turned warm. Turned out to be the controls farting out and sending the wrong signal to the blend doors. It put out the trouble code for the blend door though and tried to trick me.
