HP D30 + Thorley headers on my 5.9...will there be problems?

Well I'm planning on doing some more lift, long arms, and was also kicking around the idea of doing a HP D30 in the process as well.

I remember back in the day the Mike Leach headers would not work with people running HP D30's in their ZJ's.

Does anyone know if I will run into the same problems with the Thorley headers if I try to swap in a HP D30 in my 5.9? What about long arm interference? I was planning on doing IRO's setup

98 5.9 ZJ - 4.5" lift, 33x12.50 MT/R Kevlars
02 Z06 - Supercharged, E85, lots of rwhp, built and tuned by me

I remember seeing a thread about this on one of the forums I was on. Try searching the "internetz" for it. I checked my links, and I don't have it. I even owned the ZJ Thorley headers, but never got around to installing them.

Check

thespeedfreaks.net

I'd have to assume someone there would know the answer, or would have heard of someone who's done it.

I don't know, but I have dana 30hp and I have already ordered the headers.
I thought that there wouldn't be a problem since I have at least 3.5'' lift.

There should be no problem with the lift. IIRC the problem was with stock height and hpd30 axle.

Isn't red the only color a vehicle should be?
If at first you don't succeed, use more speed.

I can't imagine how the HP axle would interfere with headers.

The best thing to do would be to send me the headers so I can test fit them for you. I may need to keep them for a while to make sure they will fit for you. But don't worry, it's for the best.

I think it is more to do with driveline angles
