howling noise at 40+

yesterday i took my jeep to the tranny shop to have it checked.... the mechanice had took the jeep out for a drive but couldnt tell me anything about my tranny but told me that i had a wheel bearing goin bad???

i always thought it was my tires but i do notice i loud humming when i get to speeds of 40+......also when turning right jus a slight bit itll get alot louder...

98gc 2wd 4.0l

can anyone help me out?

If it goes away when you turn left a little it is most likely a wheel bearing.

most likely the left front wheel bearing.

also while hittin bumps at a slower speed itll make a lound pop sum time......but could be a differnt problem?
