I always love the pictures of car parts inside the house: Rims in the kitchen, long arms in the bedroom, lift kits in the living room, etc.

I know sanding before is a great idea, but no one has mentioned spraying primer first. Anyone suggest it? Maybe to help the color stick even better?

I was thinking of Pulling each wheel and doing a Baking soda blaster to each wheel. Same thing as a sand blaster but use baking soda. another thread, another time. But did not know if I needed to do a primer afterward before painting it.

So use heat treated paint. Rustoleme is the paint brand, or is there better then that

I was going to paint my wheels with plasti-dip. Does anyone know how well it holds up to washing? Or in general?

I just did another set last week. Sandblasted, two coats of primer and 3 coats of flat black Rustoleum. The set that was in the OP were still in great shape when I saw them for sale a few months ago.

Rustoleum Professional satin black is decent, durable paint. Not quite as good as John Deere Blitz Black, but the government clowns with all their CARB baffoonery here in the PRK have outlawed pretty much anything that actually works really well. Can't buy Blitz Black anymore. Global warming, ya know. I plan to do my Wrangler wheels with the Rustoleum Professional.
