How much would you pay for my Jeep, just curious

I've been considering the upgrade to a niner or 5.2, looking for a little more power, but I've got to justify it. I can't own both my 4.0 and another GC, however I don't have any interest in spending 5k on a niner and selling my 4.0 for 3k.

So just a quick "this is how much I think your Jeep is worth" answer would be great.

***Cons:
-Rust hole in driver side wheelwell, leads up into engine compartment underneath master cylinder area. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f13/h...-rust-1750378/
-Headliner is peeling, but that is on the to be fixed list
-Paint is peeling on the hood and passenger side panel, looks kinda bad
-Door panel vinyl is peeling on the rear doors (happens with all the 96's)

Maintenance record:
It's got a clean carfax, no accidents.
No other rust besides the wheelwell.
PO put in JKS front sway discos, aftermarket fog lights, Dodge Neon 703 injector swap.
Tires have probably 50-75% tread remaining.
Interior is spotless.
4.0 sounds and feels strong, and I don't race it or beat the hell out of it.
Trans feels pretty good, shifts hard into second when cold, but once it warms up it's nice.
T-case goes into 4 low with no grinding or trouble. Linkage is nice and smooth.

Note: any records listed below that do not mention a garage were done by me

Really that low? Even with a relatively new viscous coupler and PSC steering gear, together more than $700 worth of parts?

Right around 110000 or so.

Note: The grill is now flat black, so this picture is kind of old.

You can't expect parts installed to keep a vehicle working properly to increase is value.

I agree with Jason; start in the $2500-$3000 range and negotiate down. Any money spent on maintaining your Jeep up to the level of a running driving vehicle doesn't add any value to the Jeep. Your Jeep is probably more reliable now than comparable Jeeps but that is hard to quantify so it doesn't really factor into the cost. I'd rate your Jeep as "good" condition so it would get compared to other Jeeps in good condition. I'd negotiate harder because of all your work but your final price would depend a lot on what the market will bear.

Depends largely on the area you are selling it in as well. You can ask a little more if you have repair records. If I were buying another one I would pay a little more knowing that a lot of stuff has been replaced or repaired. That's just less I have to do and it builds confidence that it's been well cared for. I would not add in the actual cost of the parts though. You will never get out of it what you put in but I would for sure try and get the most I could. List it high and if it doesn't sell then no skin off your back.

When I bought my 5.9 @127k in Vegas, the guy wanted 5000. That was down from 5500. Jeeps are more expensive there. It had been on the market for a little while. I talked him into 4500. He had ten years of maintenance records to go along with it and it was in great shape with no rust. I just added to those records and did all the major repairs. If I were to sell mine today I would start high like 5500 and go from there.

I kinda have the mindset that unless it's an orvis, 5.9, 5spd, ect... a clean well-maintained stock zj isn't worth more anything more than 3k. I agree with the 2.5k stated earlier.

I bought my stock jeep with 135000 for 1600. Fully loaded with everything but a sunroof. And everything worked then and still works now.

It's all about your location. I know I can pickup a very clean 96+ 5.2 for under 2k in my area. I was looking at one a couple weeks ago for $1800. Garage kept, no rust, 127k miles. 4.0s are even cheaper.

I hate these feeler threads because I always feel bad throwing my $0.02 out there. Honestly, where I am, $2,000 is the MAX I'd pay for a 4.0, in good condition. I can find them all day for less than $1,000 in running condition.

I sold my last niner for $3,000 with almost $4,000 in receipts, and felt like I got a good deal.

Don't feel bad! I appreciate the input everyone is giving me, it helps to make a decision on whether to sell or not.

I'm also trying to take into account I might be able to sell to less intelligent people who may be willing to pay lots just because of all the work done over the last year.

You put whatever price you want on it . The market will soon dictate the sale or no sale . It only takes one person to see what you have done and appreciate it .

Why the investment and now pull out ? You have a vehicle that should last a long time w/o issue . IMO , there's only 2 ways to get your money back , use it , or part it

I've been considering the upgrade to a 5.2 or 5.9 for more power. I've fixed everything that's been bothering me, except the paint on the hood and the rust hole in the wheelwell, because I don't know how to or can't afford to fix those two things. I'll have to borrow a friends welder this summer and figure out what I'm doing to fix the wheelwell, but I don't know what to do about the paint on the hood.
