How much transmission fluid?

Hey yall.
I have a 95 ZJ I6.
According to my haynes manual it says to drain the transmission, then fill it back up with "about 2 quarts", run it, and fill to full.
Is 2 quarts all it's going to take?!
That seems a little low, at least relative to other vehicles I've owned...

So how much fluid should it need?
I just need to know how much to buy.

When I drained and replaced the oil and filter last year in my girlfriend's 97 I6 Laredo, I believe I put in about 6 quarts. I also believe that's what my manual called for too.

Drain it first then and measure how much came out. Then go out and buy that amount plus one more.
