buy the premix stuff, After you reinstall everything fill it till you can see it in the radiator, refill the reservoir. Start the jeep and let it run with the cap off the radiator it may boil over a bit, don't be skurred and don't touch. Eventually it will suck down when the thermostat opens replace the fluid as the system cycles. Once you fell the system has cycled shut the jeep off fill to the top again if needed, cap the rad. Start the jeep again watch you reservoir if the system needs any more fluid it should drink from there.

it'll take at least 3-4 gallons of a coolant mix. the rad can hold just under three and then you have to factor in the hoses, overflow bottle, heater core, and the water passages. Five gallons of a coolant mix would probably be a safer bet. Having extra coolant around the garage or house is never a bad thing if you get too much either.

that premix is fine but at 8 to 10 bucks a gallon . I would much rather pay for all anti freeze,,,
here there is no difference in the price .. and my tap water is way cheaper..

here they charge more money for the pre mix. are you really paying 8-10 bucks for a gallon of anti freeze? what are you feeding it?

tap water IS cheaper, but depending on your local water, also has a lot of other minerals and dissolved solids in it that arent necessarily good for the components of your cooling sytem. buy a few gallons of distilled at the store for a couple bucks.

1-qt per cyc - V8 = 2 Gals 6 = 1.5 Gals
Just did my WP month or two ago & was all I could do to get both (2 Gals) in it, I put about half a Gal in the over flow for the top off, this will also keep the tank from cracking when it gets below freezing...

you can have some of our snow if you want it. you have to work out your own shipping though.

you are really not suppose to use tap water Does it realllllly matter in the long run prob not. I am guilty of it. I buy the pre mix stuff out of ease of use.
