How Many miles on your 4.7
Just curious to see how long i should expect mine to last. Oil changes every 3500 miles. Has 81500 miles right now, 2001 JGC Limited and runs PERFECT!!

Ya, if you take care of that engine it will last a long time. I have about 74000 miles on mine, not as much as yours, but I get all the scheduled maintenance done on it and it still runs like a champ, idles nice and smooth but I do only get 13 MPG.

My 4.7 has 71,000 miles on it now. Every 3,500 miles I drain and put new Mobil 1 synthetic oil in it. At 60,000 miles I drained and put new synthetic in the transmission and transfer case as well.

You didn't use the 247 T.C. fluid?
If you didn't, you'll be sorry later.

I have also heard bad things about using anything other than the Mopar fluid in the 247. Jiffy Lube wouldn't put anything other than that in mine.

Ya there is NO exceptions with 247 TC fluid. It has to be the Mopar 247 fluid.
