How Do You Set The Memory Seats In A WJ Limited

I have a question regarding my memory seats on a 2003 GC Limited. I’ve been following the owner’s manual directions by doing:

1. Turn ignition to on position
2. Press memory button #1
3. Press Set button
4. Adjust seats then press #1 button

Here’s my problem. When doing step 2 my seats will move to the position that it had in its memory which was for the previous owner, and when pressing the Set button it’ll move it to yet another position.

It will not save my settings. I’ve even tried to skipping step 2 and starting off by Ingition On then pressing the Set button, but that doesn’t work either.

Is there some type of trick to this?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I thought it was:

1. Turn ignition to on position
2. Press memory button #1
3. Adjust seats
4. Press Set button
5. Then press #1 button

Hey

First start the car up and the way I set mine is set the mirrors, seats, and radio, then hit set and the number you want to set it too. make sure you seatbeat is not clicked in, it will not
work if it is and the car has to be in park.

That is exactly how I've done mine and that procedure should work perfect for you! Good luck!
