I tried lightly getting my finger's under the edges but I don't want to break it....How do you remove this so I can remove my headliner?

Cool

Thank you , I will go look and find it. I am removing my head liner this weekend and applying trunk spatter paint to the backing to make it look better then cloudy wavy look now.

Be sure and post up some pics of the finished project. I need to fix my headliner, too.

I think that after you remove the screw, it slides either forward or backward and then the clips will come loose.

Progress

I have scrubbed the foam off the backing board and I applied a layer of trunk spatter paint from Napa.....NOT sure I like the spatter paint.....I might be sanding the paint and going the foam and fabric direction.

issue

The only issue is the foam removal process caused the fiber material to separate on the curves so now the new paint goes through the fiber to the backing and the fibers are raised off the backing.
Will buy more spatter paint and do a second coat in the thin spots
