The thread of the mounting stud is 10-32.

I finally got something that works. The home improvement store's Tee nuts didn't have a long enough barrel to reach the mounting stud, but mcmaster carr did. Item #90594A023 had the longest barrel that I could find. They make you buy a qty of 50 but it's still less than $10. The nut is just barely long enough to reach the stud and will require some finessing to get it going, but you should eventually get a few turns on the threads and secure the sound bar. Not the most elegant solution but it should work....
