Drive a couple of years up here in Alaska where we have real winters. After that tell me how much you like ABS cause I and most Alaskans hate it!!!! it is all about the skills of the driver. If your having problems slowing down on ice or snow your going to FAST!

If you're relying on the ABS to help you stop (and just mashing on the pedal), you're doing it wrong. I generally threshold brake and use the ABS as an indicator if I'm locking up a tire and need to back off a little. It's pretty much just a traction gauge (and I'm planning to put in a kill switch for those situations where it's unwanted).

This is the most awsome thing i have done to me JeeP since ive had it ! Wish i would have done it before the winter started though, i pulled both abs fuses in box by battery and went for a test run and i am now in control of me brakes !!! Speedo works no problemo too ! I live 3 miles down a dirt road and there wont be no more braking and the Jeep skipping over the grader plow ripples when coming to stop sign .

If you have ever tried to stop on a long loose gravel grade off road you hate abs. I put wires and a switch where the abs pump fuse would usually go so I can turn abs off anytime and turn it back on without leaving my jeep. I drive my jeep to he trail so I like abs on dry roads but hate it off road.

V8s are like tampons. Every p**y has one.
6 in a row makes it go.
My lug-nut has more torque than your v8

esc, esp, abs, engine control, tcs.

I don't need these features while off road.

Another consideration is insurance. Chances are your insurance policy is based on having ABS. Deactivate ABS and then get into an accident . . . don't be surprised if you are facing a big out-of-pocket payout. Real world cases of this happening have been reported on other forums.
I hate abs too, when i disabled mine i was able to stop more effectively to my liking but i did notice the the rearend likes to come out from under you and rear end heads off to the right, i just let off brake for a moment so it straightens back out. I just dont like the abs feel of the brake pedal jolting about when trying to stop and it just continues sliding, for me even pumping the pedal it still sucks.

Hey, I have a pigtail broken where it connects to the sensor, can I just twist these two wires together to bypass the sensor? I have no cruise or able to switch from 2 wheel drive to 4 wheel drive on my 09 Jeep Liberty

Seems like too many people over driving the conditions really..

My car doesnt even have power steering let alone ABS! However, i can also drive an ABS vehicle for my 7 month winter and never have them buzz at me..

You hate ABS cause you suck at driving. (Offroad situations withstanding)

You really want to either crimp or solder and heatshrink those wires.

You're also not going to get much help bumping threads in the 93-98 grand cherokee forum if you have an 09 libby. The two vehicles have completely different ABS and 4wd systems.
